Hybrids - The original species from Caymet, bipedal anthropoids. Often depicted as specific animals, though these animals have no real-world counterpart.

Elves - A genetically engineered species that is meant to be the exact average of every type of Hybrid. Strangely lacking in fur except for on the top of the head.

Other

Daemons - Non-Sentient or Sentient AI that attempts to mimic another species or individuals, highly regulated in all spaces.

Aberrations - Born from Nihil
Celestials - born from Vitae

Druids

The raven-like species from Indugrove-A, being around 3 meters tall on average, with ~2/3 of it being their lanky legs. the rest is mostly black feathers, and around 10-30 yellowish orange eyes. they usually distinguish eachother by making a specific, individual-based sound rather than immediate looks, however each one is in their own way unique.

Druids as a species excel at RND and adaption to new locations, as their morals are far more relaxed than all other species.
<An example of this includes the critical research done on Nihil and Vitae, which included active sacrifices of "technically not fully sentient" Druids. This has lead to severe backlash on the companies involved, though they continue regardless>

Druids are often the backbone of a beginning society, able to adapt to a planet, do hard labour and research it in three different stages with few downsides.
Said downsides are mainly that Druids are exceptionally bad at understanding why their morals are "bad", with most choosing to ignore the fact and do it anyway; -though most understand not to do research on other species-.

String

The skinwalkers from Lotus-C II, consisting of an amorphous mass of gray 'drones'. When connected together in a line these drones act as a 'brain' which can do basic spatial positioning and observation, waiting for a potential host to arrive. The String are not sentient, with no connection to Ignum, and without a host to process information, can sit unmoving in a pile for an unknown amount of time.

Upon contact with another living organism or, occasionally a non-living object, the String will begin to disconnect and the individual drones will fly around in a seemingly random pattern, attempting to be breathed in, consumed or otherwise forcefully enter the host body. Once inside, it will begin deconstructing the creature by using their incredibly sharp, singular claw, sometimes taking up to a week before it is 'satisfied'

Once the host has been deconstructed enough, which is fully dependant on how many similar previous hosts the String has encountered. The drones will then link up and transform the flesh, bones, wires or other mass it has available to reconstruct a copy of the host's body.
This copy is nearly indistinguishable from the original, other than the lack of sentience (connection to Ignum), incapable of a connection to Viw, the host body will not age, and can repair itself far faster than normal.

The theory that the String was designed as a bioweapon is currently the leading theory, with the laboratory on Lotus-B having been destroyed a few weeks before the first String was reported on Lotus-C II.

<The String are deemed a threat by even Caymet, with several AureRes and broadcasts being sent out to distribute blueprints for long-range Ignum detectors, capable of scanning a quarter of a planet for non-sentient individuals in under two weeks.>
<Despite this, they have not been deployed on all planets, and as such the known number of String is in the possible thousands.>

Zmeu

The lizard-like species from Zharang-A, standing slightly above two meters tall on average, with a range of different colours of scale and eye colour. They are facultatively bipedal, with a short muzzle, two thumbs and a tympanum.

They are a surprisingly peaceful and kind race, despite being omnivorous. Their culture is at its core built around a dislike of violence. Despite this, they are a strangely remonstratable species, and have been known to be highly involved in all fields of galactic politics.

Adaptors

The vaguely fungal and insectoid species from Karalax, their bodies are totally amorphous, being able to constantly change how their bodies look and work. Their form is made up of three parts, being a light brown flesh, orange chitin, and fluoresce yellow-green bones <due to their diet, which includes plants with a high level of Tetracycline>.

Adaptors are only capable of Viw-based communication with eachother, preventing any real interspecific communication, as they are totally incapable of communicating through other means.

Adaptors are a technologically capable species, being almost entirely diesel-based. It is believed that Karalax is rich in liquid hydrocarbons, with little sunlight or other useful materials, causing them to need to expand outward.

Adaptors are a common enemy by all but very few organisations and cults, causing a surprisingly large alliance between most spacefaring factions due to the threat they pose.
